- The main raw material for synthetic polyurethane.
- For the synthesis of spandex, PU resin, water-based PUD, CPU, TPU and so on.
- Excellent physical and chemical properties with good hydrolysis resistance, high elasticity, wear resistance, low temperature resistance , etc.
Solubility and Hygroscopicity
- Can be dissolved in alcohol, esters, ketones, aromatics and chlorinated hydrocarbons
- Insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and water
- With the increase of molecular weight, the solubility will decrease
- PTMEG has hygroscopicity
- At room temperature, PTMEG can absorb up to 2wt% of water according to different molecular weight
